Alex Cornell - Graphic Design

I love this guys work on his Wes Anderson Film festival project. I saw the trailer on a blog a few days ago and was very impressed, especially because it featured one of my favourite DEVO songs (Gut Feeling (slap your mammy)).

Very VERY cool stuff.

LGBT Noise

This is a brochure I made for LGBT Noise

Click on the images to make them bigger, and check out how much people loove my flyer! (above)

Drop by LGBTnoise to support the cause.

Vintage posters

Theres something really nice about vintage posters, especially when you consider the process used for printing them. These are some posters from Gallery 29 in Dublin (near Trinity College)

I wish these guys had a few more examples on the site, but I love the stuff they do have.

I'd love to have loads of them in big frames, and just lean them against walls rather than actually hanging them.

Logolounge Logo design trends 2009

Logolounge have released their annual logo design trend list.

The hidden image logos are really nice. I actually saved the Gander Mountain one (red deer) a while ago, and didn't notice the duck and the fish in the antlers!

It's interesting to see that photographic logos are still appearing in the list, because it's so hard to get it right. I definitely think these ones have gotten it right!

Another photo logo I like is the new Swanswell logo (it was featured on BrandNew a few days ago.)

When the trust approached us last year with their chosen, legacy name, we were a little unsure at first until we began to see that the “well” at the end of the word could be of use. Various typographic experiments followed, before the discovery that a piece of paper, crumpled at one end, could act as a suitable metaphor for someone’s life smoothing itself out.

Build a little birdhose in your soul...

...or in your old security camera casing. If you stick this up in your garden not only would you have a neato birdhouse, you'll probably scare away some robbers too! Good job!

Almost Modern - Graphic Design

Muxtape - Project

I decided to make my little sister a mix of music I liked and stuff I thought she might like. This is how it went:

So after the five seconds I spent to picking the music I got to work on the cover:

I wanted to give it an old mix tape style, this is what I came up with.

Let me know what you think (of my design and my choice of music!)
